Customer Services Representative

Job Overview

Sailing Chandlery is looking for a customer services representative to join our small and friendly team. The role will be focussed on helping our customers, providing them with product information, support and keeping them updated.

About Sailing Chandlery

Founded in 2012 Sailing Chandlery is in an exciting period of growth. Based in Benfleet we sell through online channels to support customers all over the World with a range of sailing equipment from metres of rope to brand new boats.

Requirements

  • Excellent written and spoken communication skills
  • Good telephone manner
  • Proficient in using computers and IT systems
  • Excellent attention to detail
  • Problem solving skills
  • Ability to prioritise tasks and manage your own workload
  • Ability to work as part of a team
  • An open mind
  • Ability to be flexible with the business and your role as the company grows

Initial Key Responsibilities

  • Responding to customer requests via phone and email
  • Adding orders onto our website system for customers
  • Managing returns and refunds
  • Managing product information on our channels
  • Supporting our warehouse team ensuring orders leave quickly
  • Marketing tasks

Desirable

  • Sailing knowledge
  • Prior experience in customer services
  • Knowledge of social media platforms

Hours

20hrs per week Monday to Friday

Some very occasional weekend work may be required, advance warning will be provided.
