The ILCA europeans have just finished in Andora Italy and it was a fantastic event for sailors of the Devoti ILCA.
In the ILCA 7 the whole Devoti Team stepped on the podium conquering the first, second and third place European titles.
In the ILCA 6 Ann Marie Rindome took fifth place, Thanos Kifidis won the ILCA 6 Mens European title and Rocco Wright took home a bronze medal.
If you've read the reports from the event it was a tough event for the sailors, “it has been mentally tough for all sailors due to a difficult relation between the sailors and the judges and race committees, one whole regatta has been canceled after being completed. Everybody was surprised and upset from the decision” states Pavlos Kontideswho has won the bronze medal, and lead the one hour strike before the fifth day of sailing at the event.
Croatia had an excellent performance in the ILCA 7 with Tonci and Filip winning the European title and silver medal. Filip with great emotion states “after the UFD on the first race I felt the whole championship as if I had 100 kg of pressure on my back, however I have no words to describe how satisfied I am and how amazing is to share this podium with my team mates, this has always been our dream and our coach’s dream”. Tonci has won at Andora his fifth European title, “its amazing to share this podium with the whole team, this demonstrates our strength and dedication, I am very happy with my result”.
As a newly crowned Devoti ILCA dealer in the UK it's fantastic to see the boats and sailors performing well in boats straight out of the box.
We are looking forward to seeing the results in the next event at Palma de Mallorca for the Trofeo Princesa Sofia where all Olympic classes will be competing. We also look forward to supplying more Devoti ILCAs across the UK this season.

Sticky back peels off easily and glue seems strong. Quite possibly this is the same product as supplied in the pre-cut kits for the ILCA mast bottom sections?
Makes a lot of sense to use sacrificial strips to slow down wear on the mast and gel coat.
Better value to buy several meters of this one and with care and a sharp blade you can cut desired lengths by wrapping around the mast and cutting neatly.
Replacement laser block arrived very quickly. Part was exactly the same as the original and I was back on the water without missing a weekend. Great service.

Well thought out kit bag with a large internal compartment and small mesh pockets inside and out. The wet compartment is really useful. Appears to be well made and the strap is comfy over the shoulder. Easily packed in my winter gear plus a few spare tops etc but if you like to carry multiple winter wetsuits or have lots of spares you may want to go for a larger 90l bag.
