Sailing Knives Why Are They Important

Sailing knives are an essential tool to carry with you on the water. They are not only a tool they are an essential safety tool to protect you and your crew on the water. A knife can cut you out of danger if you are tangled in rope or you need to release your sail from a cleat or jammer.

Gill Marine Tool

The Marine Tool is compact in size (95mm when folded) and includes a 70mm serrated blade with a marlinspike to attend to any rope modification you need to make on the water. It also features an integrated shackle key, webbing cutter, 8mm spanner and a flat blade screwdriver. Not only all of that but a handy bottle opener too for essential refreshment!

Gill Rescue Knife

The Personal Rescue Knife is a very compact tool that can be operated with one hand. The handle has been developed to have a great grip in the wet and dry to prevent the knife and your hand from sliding. Once the knife is opened fully the blade is locked in place to prevent closure in operation.

Rescue Knife

This Rescue Knife comes equipped with a 6.4cm locking blade. The simple design allows this knife to come in at a more affordable price than the Gill tools. The plastic handle had a hole so you can tie a line to it to attach it to a buoyancy aid or PFD. As well as that, it has an integrated shackle key in the blade.

Floating Rescue Knife
