You may have heard of the Zhik Grip II (2) system, or have seen it on other sailors boats, but what is it?
The Zhik Grip II system allows the sailor to get better grip and momentum while hiking out the boat. The system allows the boots and hiking/toe strap to connect and interlock using a unique teeth system which is fitted to the underneath of the strap and the top of the sailing boot.
As a sailor you need to move across the boat quickly and with this system you can count on the strap and boots to connect at lots of different angles so you can get your weight adjusted quickly out of the turn.
Zhik make custom hiking straps for a number of boats, all made to size with the right fittings so they can easily fit to your boat.
There are two types of boot which are compatible with the Zhik Grip II system. The Zhik 360 and 560. We stock both at Sailing Chandlery and find the 360 to be more popular as they are thicker and tend to last longer.
Hiking straps are available for lots of different types of boat, at Sailing Chandlery we stock the Laser and Topper versions which we find are most popular for us. We can source others quickly on request so please do ask.

These are the only covers that will stand the high temperatures, humidity and pollution from the near by power station. We are based in Larnaca Cyprus with very long summers. I will highly recommend them. Plus Sailing Chandlery staff are brilliant.

I did wonder how I would change the battery on my timer and this kit s the answer !. I race land yachts and do a two minute rolling start which can be rather mad it times so i need that battery !
