Sophie and Sam teamed up on the Nacra 15 in August during the 2022 worlds at Lake Garda. After a great event they have continued to be a very powerful partnership.
Let's find out some more info on how and where Sophie started sailing.
I started sailing when I was 7, my first sail was at Stithians lake and then proceeded to sail properly out of Exmouth.
My first boat was a Feva, which I helmed.
I sail out of Restronguet sailing club with Sam for the Nacra 15, but my home club is Exe Sailing Club.
My biggest achievement so far is winning the 2022 Nacra 15 Nationals.
My favourite venue that I have sailed at is Carnac in France because of the great conditions and an amazing place.
My main goal for 2023 is to get selected for the 2023 Youth Worlds and place top 10 in the Europeans.
In the future, I would most like to sail in Bermuda.

A very robust design with an easy to use valve and attachment ring. It also has a loop to tuck the valve away to stop it snagging on the shroud as it's hoisted which is a nice addition. Overall an excellent float.
